Kento Miyahara & Yoshitatsu & Yuma Aoyagi & Naoya Nomura vs SUWAMA & Shuji Ishikawa & Hikaru Sato & Atsushi Aoki AJPW 17/02/2019

The last Match AJPW will run in Hakata starlanes having first put on a show there in 1978. the building is closing due to being to old and out of date to upkeep and too expensive to renovate.

They put in a little more effort than they usually do in six or eight mans on the none korakuen shows. The result was a really good match which set up the title match well with Kento getting a definitive advantage over his rival by knocking him out with a knee strike and having him carried away by his team mates after the match.

This was your standard 6/8 man with a extended intro for each guy and a little brawling where SUWAMA hit Kento with a bowling pin. Then they moved into a heat segment with Yuma being worked over before the hot tag to Nomura before some back and forth and then the finish stretch where Kento was against Sato and looked easily in control and it was Sato’s teammates trying to bail him out until Kento took out SUWAMA and had Sato to himself.

In terms of how it was wrestled I thought this was better than the tag that main evented the Bada show, But it was no way near as important or as special feeling. nothing essential to watch but well worth a watch ***1/2
