Oppener: Atsushi Aoyagi & Danji Tamura Vs hikaru Sato & atsushi aoki
This was the debut for both Tamura and aoyagi, the later is Yuma’s younger brother. Working with the veterans jr team they had the usual AJPW debut match but just in a tag format as the first half is all matwork attempts at single legs etc. The second half is more standard pro wrestling stuff with Irish whips bodyslams and some strikes. The new guys looked fairly good all round and have better striking than Omori hokuto who debuted a month and a half ago. They both are far from finished products but have potential. Aoyagi tapped to a vicious looking Boston crab. **
Black tiger vii & Giani Valletta Vs Jake lee & Omori Hokuto
Jake lee is above this. Match was standard meh stuff until Hokuto got his nose busted and then it got better. Blood in wrestling is great. **1/4
Jun akiyama Kotaro Suzuki, & Atsushi Maruyama vs. TAJIRI, Masanobu Fuchi, & Osamu Nishimura
This had fuchi in it so of course it was great. Akiyama and fuchi were the stars with plenty of good comedy work with akiyama attacking his own team mate for countering fuchi. Fun comedy tag **
New year’s Battle royal
The contestants were: Omori Hokuto, Danji Tamura, atsushi aoyagi, atsushi maruyama, Jake lee, hikaru Sato, atsushi aoki, Kotaro Suzuki, black tiger vii, Giani Valletta, tajiri, Jun Akiyama, yutuka Yoshie, osamu nishimura and masanobu fuchi.
This was the normal new year’s Battle royal it was silly and not all that well worked. Outside of the one in 94 that ended with Misawa and Williams as the last 2 for 5+ minutes they are never good. Jake lee won last eliminating Yoshie rating? Fun
